MDTV is a new TV broadcast standard optimized for portable recption. What's the difference between MDTV and DTV?
Regular DTV broadcasts are designed for stationary reception, and cannot support mobile reception. MDTV allows for clear, consistent, high-quality TV reception at speeds of 100+ mph, enabling consumers to watch TV in their cars, on the train, or at a park. However, Coby MDTV receivers cannot currently receive regular DTV broadcasts.
